Cancellation
Last updated: 8 September 2026
This page covers how to cancel a booking. For what refund (if any) applies, see Refunds.
As a guest
A booking that is still pending or confirmed can be cancelled from its trip page (Your trips → the booking) — there is no separate email or support request needed for a standard cancellation. Once cancelled, the applicable refund percentage and amount for that specific booking are shown immediately on the same page.
A booking that has already been completed (the stay has passed) or is already cancelled cannot be cancelled again.
As a host
A host can also cancel a booking on their own listing from the equivalent host booking view. Cancelling a confirmed booking as a host does not reduce the guest's refund below what the listing's cancellation policy would otherwise give them for a cancellation happening on that date.
What happens next
Cancelling immediately releases the property's dates so they can be booked by someone else, and stops any pending payout to the host for that booking if the stay hasn't happened yet. See Refunds for how any money owed back to the guest is calculated and returned.
