Community Guidelines
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Nesta connects real people staying in and hosting real properties. These guidelines exist so that trust between guests and hosts is well placed.
Listings must be accurate
- Describe the property, its amenities, and its condition honestly.
- Only upload photos and videos you own or have the rights to use — Nesta requires an explicit confirmation of this before any photo or video upload is accepted.
- Disclose any security camera on the property, with a general description of where it points. Cameras are never permitted in bedrooms or bathrooms.
Reviews must be genuine
Reviews must reflect an actual, completed stay. Do not write, request, pay for, or offer anything in exchange for a review that doesn't reflect a real experience.
Respectful conduct
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, or discrimination toward other users.
- No sharing another user's private contact details, exact address, or identity documents obtained through Nesta.
- No spam, scams, or attempts to move a booking or payment outside Nesta to avoid its protections.
Reporting a problem
Every listing, review, and message has a report control. Filing a report sends it to our team for review — it does not take any automatic action against the reported content or user by itself.
Consequences
Depending on what a report or investigation finds, we may take action ranging from removing specific content to suspending an account. We do not disclose the details of one user's report to the user it concerns beyond what's necessary to resolve it.
Marketing claims
Badges such as "Verified Host", "ID Verified", and "Verified Listing" each reflect a specific, manually-reviewed check and are only ever shown once that specific check has actually passed — never as a general claim of safety, trustworthiness, or endorsement.
